Whispers in My Ears

Accidental Poet

The Devil on my left shoulder

My Guardian Angel on the right

Each whispering in my ear

Persuading me against the other’s might

The D: Listen here, I can give you anything you want.

Me: Can you give me back my mom and dad?

The D: Sure, I can bring back your dog Shelby too.

Me: Can you bring the love of my life Sharon back into my life?

The D: I can do anything, just say the word and its done.

My GA: Don’t trust him, lying is a game to him.

Me: Can you make President Donald Trump only tell the truth?

The D: Oh that’s easy. I promise, he’ll never tell another lie as long as he lives.

Me: Ok, prove it!

My GA: Who do you think taught Trump to lie?
