him

lunarchloedip

he puts his head

in the dip of my shoulder

and laughs

against my neck

a gentle giggle

which slightly tickles

and in turn

i laugh too

when he puts

fingers on my chin

and lifts my face up to his

i smile

and he moves his fingertips

to the corners of my mouth

to trace it

tells me he loves me

and i know

nobody can replace this

i want to tell him

that he really makes me laugh

to tell him

that he’s taken the pain of all the past

and brought calm

that i know will last

at last

my hearts beating fast

which is nothing new

the first time i kissed him

i really had no idea

what i was getting myself into

but i can’t stop smiling

finally

i don’t feel like dying

A most beautiful poem of feeling cared for and love dispensing with feelings of depression. It contains places of rhyme that give it more power and spice. Lovely
