The new comes into our lives,
The first day of summer enthrals us
As each new day gets longer
Bringing light and love to us all.
The buds on the trees open
Into the leaves of their glory,
Flowers open into the colour
Bringing beauty in their artwork.
We celebrate the wonder of new life
As it surrounds us in our world,
Our world of creativity in life
Taking us forward into the world,
The new world that is there,
There for us to live in glory
As we stroll into summers light
Highlighting our new way
Into another day in our world.

Yep, according to beloved Shakespeare.... it's Summer!!!! "Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?/--"
Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delightful poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind words CM, much appreciated,
Andy
Don't blink because you'll miss it. 🤣 I lived in south London in 1990 I remember this heat that was just insufferable. Of course a beautiful garden and a swimming pool would probably have a different effect. 🌹
So true Teddy, we can have all four seasons in once day! LOL. It would be good to sit in the shade beside the lake in our garden with a glass of fine wine beside us. (WE CAN BUT DREAM!).
