beautiful regret

Notice of absence from arqios

beautiful regret:

Love does not erase bruises,
nor does it fix what words cannot mend.
But it stands- in the quiet, in the waiting—

in the spaces where breath is safe

where memory softens,
and time learns to forgive:
beautiful regret.

This poem aches with quiet wisdomβ€”
love’s presence lingers, not to heal, but to hold
the tender weight of what cannot be undone.

A wonderful description of one of the aspects of love. Your colorful phrasings, " where breath is safe, time learns to forgive," are particularly poignant. Your poem is a gentle and soft way of expressing loves power. Loved it. - Phil A.

I once came across the idea that the past can be changed. It's one of the most challenging ideas I've ever heard.

It also appears to be a recurring them in filmmaking that cycles every generation of expression. Interesting note there MR. Thanks. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

such a tender and beautiful message - love does forgive and overlook a lot , especially in the first bloom of love - later it learns to forgive too..

Love the interplay of overlook and forgive; much like turning a blind eye and making up. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

Forsooth. Yet doesn't love begin the healing process? Love can never erase, but like you've said so excellently, be there in the empty spaces like a balm, right? Beautifully written and most exquisite read aloud, deeply poignant with excellent imagery. Thank you for sharing.
