Lady Iris

Teddy.15

And as she waits patiently under damp dark ground
waiting for that one magical  moment
just as the sun heats up
and an orchestra of feathered friends plays a tune for a lovely day in may
arising up slowly but surely
until she need to see that light for herself
and just like that...

she blooms in all her glory
just as an Iris should.

A beautiful poem posted for wishes of a "Happy Mother's Day," enhances the glory of a springtime blossom. I loved your "orchestra of feathered friends." Your poem captures the anticipation of Spring's revival. I now feel the Sun breaking through the mist.
