I’d like to thank everyone for coming along,

I’ve been your host for this evening,

at this Open Mic poetry night,

now it’s time we were all leaving.

 

People have come from across the North West

to join us here tonight,

From Fallowfield, Failsworth and Farnworth,

and Irlam of the Height.

 

We hope you have enjoyed this evening,

this is poetry, if you please.

So join us again this time next month,

here at 96 Degrees.

      Thanks so much, Soren. I am used to reading at these things, but have been asked if I would host an evening. I was honoured to be asked but terrified at the same time.

        I can recommend it. It is nerve-wracking but exhilarating. I will be so nervous on the night but buzzing if it goes okay.
