If Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play
you see he comes to me as grief
today I have not one fresh reef
today the sun, the sun does shine
I do not wish to cry by shrine
the snow is far
the sun, suffice
no freezing winds no breaking ice
just calm and warmth
a peaceful day
I'll let my grief just rest and lay
if Raven was to come today
I'd tell him I don't wish to play.
I'd tell him I don't wish to play.

Ah I am glad that this is a brighter day and that you have sent the raven away. A poem of metaphoric emotion and well expressed my friend
Wonderful poem, Teddy. You know my affinity for Ravens and I what they mean for you as well. Glad this one took its leave! Whew! Excellent poem on, grief! 🌹👏
Thank you dear Tristan, as you know my Raven stays close but yes every so often also at bay, also for you dear poet🌹
Indeed, Teddy! You are most welcome, my friend.
"Who's that tapping at my door? Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." The symbolism for grief in your poem is quite strong. I hope you're feeling OK. Your poem made me feel sad. - Phil A.
Dearest Phil, it should have had the opposite effect my friend, as I didn't let my grief overcome me today. Thank you for coming by. I am very well, I have a series of poems about my Raven it's a project of love. Thank you my dear friend. 🌹
Such a positive poem Teddy showing the wonderful world that is there for you.
Andy
