Heard it on the Radio....

No need for endeavor,

Change – life (did it my way..)

Well said Dave or should I say Frank. Short and sweet. Loved it.

    • Doggerel Dave

Thanks Soren. Thought that phrase has been worn to death, but...there it was this morning, said with feeling....... aaah!

    • Poetic Licence

As he himself would be, straight to the point, enjoyed the read

      • Doggerel Dave

Thanks for the support...after all 'twas really just a cry of frustration.

        • Poetic Licence

          You are very welcome

We all have our own ways Dave.

          Andy

          • Doggerel Dave

Completely nailed it, Andy - many thanks.

My life changed forever when I got Fido! lol.

            • Doggerel Dave

I'm terrified he might actually be real............................................................

              • orchidee

He is harmless - unless poets don't use the 18+ when they should! lol.

                • Doggerel Dave

I'm sure we have been here before - you should train him to bark loudly when someone puts an 18+ where there has been no salacious material at all. Total disappointment......

Hahaha. Who doesn't do it their own way? Lovely little rhymed quatrain, capably and eloquently detailing this fact. Beautifully rendered a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing!

Precicely. Although there exists elements of conformity out there (probably more than you estimate - it depends on whose company you keep) but certainly none round here (except for the basics , which prevent my head from a kicking!!)
                    No, thanks for your support.

My daddy was a Hippie. Let that tell you about where I come from and conformity.

"Like Frankie said, I did it my way." - Jon Bon Jovi, It's My Life. Love the poem(s)...and the Sinatra reference! Well done, my friend! 🌹👏

                      • Doggerel Dave

Just a cry of irritation and proof that I\'m still alive, Trestan.
                        Grateful for the support, though.

                          You're welcome my friend.

with you, my friend it's no other way than 'My way or the highway'
so stay original and true to self, and live life the way you want -
change when you want to, no one else is in charge of your life but yourself, which is as it should be

Very perceptive, M'lady. However I do suffer from the delusion that I'm reasonable and flexible, so please try to humour me just a tiny bit...😜

                            • NafisaSB

well, I have to take your word as the gospel truth..lol
Glad to know you are reasonable, and flexible; that's the best way to live a happy life
                              stay safe, healthy and happy

                            • Neville

Verily clever squire .. enjoyed muchly but for a micro moment ..

                              • Doggerel Dave

Doesn't have to be more than that, for all the effort it took.
