Golden reeds sway in the summer breeze,
sometimes moving as one, sometimes leaping offbeat—
not silent, but full of voice— shouting, singing,
bright little melodies alive with motion.
They brush past and gently kiss these cheeks,
soft as morning light.

Very nice Cryptic I have been in that field and it was nice. A lovely write.
Thanks Soren... that field has hosted us all at one time or another. Most gladποΈππ»
A lovely write and image, especially now we have the sun back, enjoyed the read
That's the idea! The sun is out and aboutποΈππ»
Enjoyed. Like in the Picture, during my Walks in the Countryside - and it being hot at the Moment- it was Wonderful to fill the Cool breeze across my face, and hear the Sound of the Wind in the the trees . Then the birds singing, Butterflies weaving around. Can't beat Summer. Good one.
The breeze does make Summer more tolerable. thanks Kevinππ»ποΈ
Should still be a happy Sunday....
At the rate this pretty number waltzes in the morning, forsooth. I love it!
And we dance to our own tune until others decide to join in! Cheers ποΈππ»
Why! Good morning, my friend. What a beautiful poem to start the day with. And now I'm waltzing in my heart. Thank you and Happy Sunday to you too! πΉπ

Thanks for the Fave @Cheeky MissyποΈππ»
Seeing as I rarely get any cryptic meanings, I thought the title meant this was gonna be about baked beans or sprouts! heehee. Bit windy!
π€£not a bad idea, there, O! In fact, thatβs quite inspiring ππ»ποΈ
Beautiful words, Rik. It's a beautiful Sunday here and your pic and words just made it all the better. "Sometimes Leaping offbeat," made me think in a way of music. such that it drew a clearer image of the "reeds" in the wind. - Phil A.
Thanks Phil! The musical πΆ allusions were synchronised and syncopated intent; thanks for harping on that. Rikππ»ποΈ
Sometimes it is just great to be alive. This poem is a tribute to that joy.
