I cry for my sins
I cry for my mistakes
But
I don’t just cry for myself
I cry for the insanity of the world
I cry for senseless killing death and decay
The child hungry and scared
Living in the streets with no where to go
I cry for the abused
Those who get beat up
Beaten into a bloody lump
By those who were supposed to love them
By total strangers just looking for a good time
I cry for the corruption of others
Police
Military
And others
Who find it easier to do what is wrong
Just to make a quick buck
I cry for polititions
Who continually lie to the American public
Who constantly look out for their own interests
Instead of listening to the American people
I cry for our school children
Who time and time again can not get the education they need
To help them prepare for the future
To help lead successful lives
I cry for
Crime
Gangs
Turf wars
Making the inner cities unsafe
Making America unsafe
I cry for our military
And for lose who gave thier all
And sacrificed everything
So freedom could remain
I cry for those who can not cry themselves
I cry for those without a voice
So thier needs may be heard

Deeply moving write, Tonyπππ»
Thank you
Emotional and heart felt this poem cries out to all of us to take our responsibility to make this world a better place. A fave
Thank you
Reminds me of the chapter called "Tearwater Tea" in the children's book about Owl and his adventures. You also remind me about 24 hours ago now... when I tried to tell my best friend what, precisely, held up three lanes of very heavy traffic, the state police cruiser and one orange cone protecting the green suburban...I could hardly keep from breaking down and weeping. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you and you're welcome
So many issues in the world right now. A good cry is needed every now and then.
Great write!
Thank you
I cry with you, Tony. I cry right along with you. Bless you, my friend! πΉπ

So touching,
Thank you
There is a lot to cry for these days.A sad but realistic poem.
Thank you
Their needs certainly need to be heard Tony but will anybody notice or care in this current world.
Andy
Thank you
It resonates and says it well. A poignant, contemporary write saying what is deeply felt by many I would think. I feel a palpable sense of unease in this world, as if we are regressing as a species.
Thank you
what a fantastic and heart-warming message. touched by the number of things that move you
sometimes do look after your own needs too - as you have no one but yourself to hold you up
Thank you
you are most welcome
Indeed, there are too many things to cry about in this crazy world of ours. As in the US, so in the rest of the world, man is distinguished by his selfishness. This poem of yours inspired in me feelings of universal brotherhood. And that's truly what I seek in poetry. Congratulations on how you expressed your feelings.
Thank you
