Why did a butterfly
lay it's beautiful wings on my hand?
It's widespread belief
that butterflies are a family member
or a loved one reincarnated?
but what if it's not?
what if Butterflies
are simply super sensitive to human grief?
laying their wings
like an angel in disguise
helping Humans and their grief
with a simply gesture and touch
courage from both sides?
and we?
wondering if it really is a sign
a mother or a brother a father or a wife?
maybe it's just a beautiful insect?
a pure miracle of Mother Nature
stroking your needs by pure chance
unknowing you feel close to that
in which you lost, even if it's just for a moment?
Butterfly gets to rest
whilst a grieving soul bounces back to life.

One of nature's symbols of beauty our mind weaves a tapestry of relationships, real, fanciful, true or not, it holds meaning and provokes the mind to wander like the butterfly itself. Loved the way that you presented the poem in free flowing thought. It bounces from one thing to another like the butterfly landing here and there. Never staying too long in one spot it flits through the mind of the reader, tickling and enchanting possibilities until it flies away. Ver nice Teddy
Thank you so much dearest sorrenbarret you have really seen the heart of this ๐น๐ ๐ฆ
This sweet musing about hope and possibility is wrapped around a beautiful picture that touches the emotions with gentle butterfly wings. A gem dear Teddy!
So incredibly humbled and happy to see you dearest Bella, your presence is deeply missed on here. Thank you for your gorgeous words ๐น I hope you are welly dear friend. ๐
A beautiful butterfly as a resurrected loved one, I never heard of this superstition, but it is a sweet concept. Your poem and your concept of the butterfly having a sense of one's grieving, may be even sweeter. Maybe it truly is a work of Mother Nature, more strange ideas have been presented as such. For instance, dogs can sense a person's onsetting seizure and are employed as service dogs for this reason. Why not butterflies as visitors from beyond? A beautiful poem.
You make a wonderful point also about dogs, so much more than hair and four legs. Animals heal in general I believe. Thank you for your compassion dear Phil. ๐น
Super words Teddy, they are Angels looking out for you.
Andy
Thank you dear Andy. ๐น
Teddyโฆthis one truly landed soft, like the wings it speaks of. ๐ Thereโs such a quiet grace in the way you hold space for both mystery and meaning. Whether miracle or moment, the gesture still heals. This is beautiful, my friend. Love it! A fave for sure! ๐น๐

That's a really lovely write, maybe they are the angels of nature and sense the pain and loss, there is definitely something magical about them and seem to have a calming effect on people, which can only be good, enjoyable read
