Synchronicity

sorenbarrett

Time in a blender turning in one direction, we a piece deterred from return by currents of deflection.
All history contained, separated in space by our journey, our path in circles we  trace carried on time's cyclical gurney
Yet in this spiraling eternal dance to reach another behind or ahead, we have no  chance
Contemporaneously all time future and past in a bottle simultaneously is cast

Is this suggestion that time is already allocated and will be what it is destined to be, so no point chasing it, probably not but it's an enjoyable puzzle to read

Thank you so much Tobani for the read and comment. Your interpretation is certainly valid and part of what I had in mind as it says time is difficult to understand as it is mixed in the blender we are in and although we are fixed in one spot it is not.

        You are very welcome

        Hello Soren,

Tomorrow never comes and yesterday never goes so how can they exist in the vacuum of a life lived in the spin of a bottle. Once again your brain is working overtime and how we the readers benefit and enjoy the fruits of your toil. Keep it up my, good fellow.

        Wishing you the very best,

        Tony.

Thank you so much for you review as always it is most appreciated. The thought is that all time, future, present, past all exist s simultaneously it is just that we are trapped in our location and can not see what is happening around us nor can we move except in our own cycle of the spin of the blender. Again thanks for the read of this bizarre and cryptic piece

Your poem "Synchronicity" explores the concept of time as a non-linear and cyclical experience, suggesting that past, present, and future are interconnected. It reflects on the limitations of human perception in understanding the vastness of time and existence. You seem to aim to provoke thought about the nature of time and our relationship with it, encouraging readers to consider their place within the continuum of history and existence. It invites reflection on the cyclical nature of life and the inevitability of time’s passage.

Thank you Friendship you have grasped it entirely and explained it well. Little else need be said but I am glad that you saw through it.

Soren, you’ve taken the blender blade to chronology and somehow blended it into clarity. The way you move through time here...fluid, fragmented, looping...it reminds me of the "gravity wells" we create just by living. A stunning piece of metaphysical poetry. Wonderful job, friend. A fave! 🌹👏

The other day I was talking about seeing foxes .. I was out in a cafe talking to my dad and sister , next minute there was a fox outside .. and Asked my sister what that word meant and she said ‘ synchronicity ‘

Yes I’ve seen a fox there , one time before .. and can see several in the garden .. where I live

The simultaneous existence of past, present and future is on the minds of philosophers and scientists these days, as well as poets. We balked when daylight savings time came to be, so now whatever will we do with this conundrum. A delightful and eternaly puzzling write my friend.

Thank you Bella for your review and understanding comment. it is always most appreciated. I guess in that sense I guess I will redesign the clock to have two equal length hands that never move one pointed to zero and the other to infinity.

Oh, I like the idea of that clock!

There is a theory that there are infinite timelines soren and that everything we nearly did is in one of those time lines in our other lives.
