I've been chasing rainbows all my life
chasing the warmth and happiness
that one feels
when they are within all the bright colours
of acceptance and unconditional love
I've been chasing these rainbows, alas
I've yet to find one of my own.

Chasing rainbows always holds the hope of finding one. Remember what was left in Pandora's box after all the ills of the world were released, hope. Take care my dearest Teddy, if we all hold onto hope perhaps something good will come from it.
Notice the last line my darling Bella, always hope in my heart, I just got confirmation I was never loved by any of my family not even one, I'll get over it. But today I'm a bit of a greek tragedy. 💜

We all chase rainbows of one type or another sometimes finding leprechauns and a few find a pot of gold. A wonderful read my friend so nicely written

Teddy, there’s an honesty here and in all your work that I really respect. This poem doesn’t try to be more than it is...and that’s what makes it hit. I feel like I have been chasing rainbows all my life too. Very relatable and what a beautiful expression, too. Greek tragedy or not, you’ve made space for rainbows to chase and I find that beautiful, my friend. 🌹👏 Hope you are feeling better today than yesterday...and if not already, I hope you are rockin' tomorrow!

Simple and relatable is often so hard to do. Truly. It is so easy to overcomplicate, but you have a knack for not doing that and that is pure mastery imho. You can say in a brief poem what many others would take 14 pages to write. So, I promise when I say that, I say it with the utmost respect, my dear friend. You are a most wonderful poet. I am always looking forward to more. And, yes, please milk away! LOL!
