the phone rings
The police on the other line
A two car accident
They said your body was found in one of the cars
My life ends
I can’t catch my breath
My love
My life
Dead they tell me
My love
My life
The mother of my children
The rock upon which my life stands
Taken from me
Ripped from the life we had together
Torn away

That is so terribly sad. The heart goes out to the ones that go through this.
Thank you
Welcome
Tragic, painful, surrealistic in its presentation, overwhelming, stuned are the words that come to mind and the sense in reading it. It becomes surreal as one realizes that they are dead. Loosing a companion is a loss of life itself and is hard to believe, just as hard to accept as one's own life. Well written Tony
Thank you
You are most welcome Tony
Terribly sad, Tony. I am not sure if this reflects your reality or if you are channeling this through artistic empathy, you nailed this one, and conveyed exactly what needs to be conveyed here. Profoundly powerful and a must fave for me. If this is your reality, my condolences...and my condolences to anyone who goes through loss of any kind, let alone of this magnitude. Powerful. 🌹👏
Thank you
You are most welcome, my friend!
Such a moving write Tony, I do hope it is not true.
