"yellow firefly dust"
(10-AUG-2010)
blue skies over horizon again
Child arrives, jumps about
looking pretty and tall
the only sure part— that dust
flying near Silence
where fireflies wait
now, yellow dust fades
into green beginnings
then, fireflies once more
.
a repost from 2010; happy birthday, my darling Child
.
"then, fire flies again"
( 01-AUG-2025)
( 01-AUG-2025)
twilight drapes the meadow
soft child’s laughter weaves
through grassy eyes
wide with ember-dreams
across the dusk—a spiral bloom
drifting through still shroud
where tiny lights convene
glints of gold ignite hope
stitching constellations near
then, fire flies again
.
soft child’s laughter weaves
through grassy eyes
wide with ember-dreams
across the dusk—a spiral bloom
drifting through still shroud
where tiny lights convene
glints of gold ignite hope
stitching constellations near
then, fire flies again
.
.. a revisit of "yellow firefly dust" after 15 years, the child is grown and the flame still burning... happy birthday, my darling Child still.

Most creative Cryptic this time span, evolution and intertwining of poems with evident evolution over time marking the concept itself. Very clever.
Thank you Soren. Watching them grow up is a whole journey in itself ποΈποΈ

Hello, arqios,
A glowing tribute and birthday wishes from a loving father to his beloved daughter. A seam rich in light runs through each verse, where fireflies hail from, celebrating a never-ending love from child to teenager. Just beautiful.
Wishing you all the very best and your darling daughter a very happy birthday.
Tony
