Long before Christ forgiveness began in the simple heart of a woman or man
Vengeance an anchor to the past holds the race in place where it is cast
Defense, guardian of the present, revenge's phoenix raises from a past unpleasant
Forgiving past thieves of honey the bee devotes energy to protect its nest in the tree
The hive never closes its door inside every bee equal there are no poor
From war man will never be free until we learn to be more like the bee

A sense of looking at everyone as equal, revenge is futile, spend your energy on your own home, enjoyed the read
Thank you my friend your words are appreciated
You are very welcome
Well written, not too fond of bees! Your poem beautifully illuminates the futility of vengeance and the redemptive power of forgiveness, masterfully contrasting the destructive cycle of revenge with the harmonious existence of bees, and inspiring humanity to learn from nature's wisdom to cultivate peace and unity, thereby provoking profound reflection on the cyclical nature of revenge and the imperative of forgiveness, and advocating for a transformative shift in perspective that can yield peace and unity, beautifully inspired by the natural world.
Thank you Friendship for your read and understanding word of interpretation. Yes it is okay to protect ourselves but why waste time on what can not be changed. Your words are most appreciated
You're very welcome, Sorenbarrett. Words of wisdom to live by.👍

Tremendous work.
Thank you Thomas it is appreciated
You capture here the essence of what binds us together. We have the ability to forgive, show compassion and empathy for one another. And no matter what may try to dissuade us, we come back as one. Thank you for this reaffirmation of our humanity. Beautifully done!
Thank you Bella your words are always most valued and appreciated. Thank you so much for taking your time to review this piece
I have to agree with you. "From war man will never be free until we learn to be more like the bee". Man will always be in conflict with each other... Maybe we should follow the dictum: "Love thy neighbor..." Thank you for the reflection!
Thank you so much Rodriguez I deeply appreciate your read and support
I do believe bees have a class system: Queen - workers - drones; it works for them in apparent harmony... So?
Next time you do this topic Soren, perhaps the last line could be "From war man will never be free until we learn to..." then left open for others to fill in with thoughts such as...forgive and negotiate, or... I'm still thinking, because I'm only sure of one thing - humans ain't bees....
Great title.
Some are wannabes Dave. Yea I know they have what we call a class system that is really just a division of labor, all get fed until they are not needed then they are driven off. It is the good of the colony above the individual. It is debatable as to whether that may not be a better system. It seems so for the species. That would require a different value system. Thanks so much for the read Dave and the comment. As always it is appreciated
Don\'t work for humans, do it....
Unfortunately not my friend
So....
Maybe one day, if we survive our wars, genocide, murders, and natural disasters we will be ready for that change. We are slow learners that haven't evolved much from the beginning, instead being proud of our technological advances.
If.....
Very true soren.
