In my life I was taught respect,
Respect those who help you,
Respect those who are polite to you
And do things for you,
But especially to respect my elders,
Which I have always done,
Always done in my long life.
But at my age respecting elders is hard,
As I am finding it harder,
Harder to find any of them.

Forsooth. Which generation neglected to teach the next civility? Or what is it? Culture clashes still should not render incivility acceptable, yet we navigate in an eerie reality where incivility is the rule. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a delightful poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
So very true CM. thank you for your kind words.

You are very welcome
It's a sad thing that this among other things have gone by the side way...
So true arqios, I do hope respect returns some day.

Me as well Andy๐๐ป๐๏ธ
What is it I'm supposed to respect? Respect the human being, no matter what age, if he/she/they are open/liberal/ humane. No respect for someone who is bigoted/deaf to other ideas/inflexible.
Thanks for your words DAve.
Andy
Age does not necessarily provide wisdom, Andy.
