Oldies Fault Again.

Goldfinch60

So it’s our fault again

Us Oldies,

Still living in the house

That we bought many years ago.

They say it is too big for us

At our time of life

We need to move,

Move to something smaller.

So that the youngsters can move in.

They cannot afford to buy any more

As the people with the money

Build houses out of the price range

Of most people.

They sit there

In their castles in the air,

Just fuelling their greed,

From the hard times they are creating,

For those trying to stay alive.

Can't quite work out who is saying what to whom, when, why and to what effect, Andy....

It felt that way when I was young as well. Difference was the old folks didn't move out and we didn't move in, we had to find other ways. A good write and I hear this from many.

If you live in a council house, it doesn't suprise me, the UK is on its knees, I feel the pain in any case because I know how much you love your home and street. 🌹

Very true Teddy, it is not a house it is home.
