Live For Today Again.

Goldfinch60

We have them all the time,

The days that come and go,

But in our lives there are just two days,

Two days where nothing can be done.

One is called yesterday,

And the other is called tomorrow.

So today is the right day,

The right day to do things,

To do things and live,

So live for today.

This short, reflective poem distills a simple but powerful truth: the only day we can truly act in is today. Yesterday is beyond our reach, tomorrow is not yet ours, and both are beyond our control. By naming them as the two days โ€œwhere nothing can be done,โ€ the poem clears space for the present moment; urging us to embrace it as the right time to act, to live, and to make meaning. Itโ€™s a gentle yet insistent reminder to anchor ourselves in now, where life actually happens.
