Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in responses. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon said, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

It’s National Poetry Day today
and this year’s theme is play.
It’s caught me off-guard,
I find deadlines so hard,
I just wish I could think of something to say.

Thank you for the announcement in such poetic form. Set in rhyme this poem falls poignantly in time for those who have not composed something to do so. A fun read although I have no poem on the theme of play.
Thanks Soren, I saw something pop up online about it being today, and the theme being play. I thought it'd be amusing to write about struggling to write about it. π Thanks for your comments as always.
You are most welcome my friend
A play of words will suffice, methinksποΈππ»
Thanks a lot for your comments, mate. Appreciated as always.
Now you've said it! lol.
That was exactly how it went! I noticed it was today, and was like, errrrm what should I write about? So I wrote about struggling to write something. π
Ohh, if ya got nothing much to say, say it anyway - so I say. And use 500 words when 5 will do. Just waffle on with any old rubbish - like me sometimes! lol.
Happy National Poetry Day, Tom! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Thanks a lot, mate. You too! π
Well you found the words Tom.

Thanks for your comments, Andy. Really appreciated.
so true - for me too the muse strikes at odd times, and when needed - it takes a holiday...
Love the idea of the muse taking a holiday! π Thanks for your comments.
lol. Poetry seems like a dieing art form. Great work.
Thanks a lot, my friend. Really appreciated.
