The bed

sorenbarrett

A mattress once new and bright, sags from many a night
Worn memories faded, frayed and torn where love was born
Cobwebs fluttering flags, life's floating defeated rags
In time's dust amassed, cover dead dreams of the past
Ragged rat hole gnawed within, spreading poison under skin
Wood once strong, termite ridden, love's perforations hidden
A once majestic bed now bows its sleepy head

Soren, this one aches quietly…the image of love’s decay wrapped in dust and wood is haunting. You’ve turned memory into ruin fantastically, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

That decay can happen soren but can be renewed and a new bed can be so wonderful.

A very interesting write, it sounds like the bed is carrying a lot of memories and baggage from the past, maybe a new bed is needed.
