The sounds of night give me gossamer wings of glistening threads flight into silver dreams
Perfume of jasmim carried on the breeze meets whispers of leaves in a chorus of trees
A festival of light carried by fireflies illuminate the meadow with frog and cricket cries
A warm blanket of stillness in the air, a soft creaking on the porch of the rocking chair

I love this ❤
Thank you so much for your review karoline and for your most kind words they are appreciated
This paints such a lovely scene and so well phrased (as always).
Thanks so much Michael. Such kind words from a poet of your quality means a great deal
The rocking chair sets the theme, maybe once there, but not now.
Nature gives us the entertainment that people don't realise is free for the listening.
Now for the dreaming.
Thank you Paul yes not only is there no longer a rocking chair but for most people there are no longer crickets and frogs just street noise. times have changed. thank you so much for the read and most kind words of review.
Good write, sorenbarrett. What a beautiful mind image you painted there.

I really like amphibians but I have a deep-seated fear of crickets !
Thank you Lorenz for the read as for that fear of crickets did it start after watching Pinocchio?
This one was a very well-behaved cricket !
A fine write SB. Ahh, gives me an idea for one of KP's Christmas gifts - perfume of sewage! lol.

Certainly!
My friend, the whole piece settles in like warm dusk…the jasmine, the fireflies, the quiet creak of the chair. Every element moves together in a soft orchestration. It feels lived…felt…remembered. Love it, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you so much Tristan for the read and down home remarks they are appreciated and feel themselves like a home cooked meal

Living in a Town ; I sometimes hear an Owl which is such a Peaceful Sound to hear.
But to hear the 'Callings' you describe: I'm a bit envious. You paint a fine Picture. Love it.
Thank you so much for the read and words of support and encouragement. I have always loved the country and its sounds and worked a lifetime to spend the last few years there.
