Enjoy The Light.

Goldfinch60

Well, the night is here,

That night which is the longest,

The longest in the year.

A night full of darkness

But in that darkness stars are seen

And each star is a light,

A light in our lives

As it brings memories,

Memories of those who have passed,

Passed in this year.

We know that the light they shine

Is for us to enjoy,

Enjoy the memories,

The memories of our time,

Our time together.

So welcome the longest night

And we can then move on

As each day will get longer

And the light in our lives will expand,

Expand into the beauty of life,

The beauty of life in the year to come.

So enjoy the light,

The light of the stars,

And the light of the long days to come.

Good write Gold. I'm a gloom and doom merchant. I say around June 21 - Cheer up, the nights are starting to draw in now! lol.

The light will be with you Orchi.

Here in this hemisphere the days have grown longer and now will start to shorten. A read that gives one pause to think how everything is a cycle in this world.

Very true soren, this world can be wonderful at all times if only people would let it be that way.

In these dismal days of dark and rain
here’s something I think you all should know
there’s only another six months to go
before the nights draw in again.

So very true Michael, but at least for a few months the light will be in our lives.

We enjoy the night, to enjoy the light.

            So true Katie, thank you.
