Justice or magic show

sorenbarrett

The hangman hooded for anonymity, execution by decree, ordered and condoned by royalty
Prisoner restrained, executed by one trained while the crowd is entertained its necessity explained
The king won't take a stand, all this planned, evidence canned, gone with a wave of a magicians hand

  • Comment from author about the poem: When responsibility is denied by officials or passed down the ladder it is highly suspect. For a leader there are only two possibilities. One: that he is unaware of what is going on beneath him, in which case he is incompetent and not worthy to rule or two: condones what brutal and savage acts occur under him and is therefore malevolent and a tyrant and not fit as a ruler. Consider a man elected on a platform of resolving immigration and realizing it an impossible task to deport millions of people. Solution for a few collateral deaths publicized in the media the nation will consider it too heavy a cost and he is off the hook resigning to public demand. At the same time the fear of entering such a violent nation will deter future immigrants.

Very poetically written, I fear that any president who hasn't reached his goals for his voters, like on economy and industry and the shameful Epstein files which he is clearly part of, will literally do anything to steer away from the facts , like finishing wars in 24 hours, which he couldn't do, the fact is he shouldn't have ever been allowed to be the President of the United states of America. Playing dumb when you are the most powerful man in the world is a simple task for this guy. 😢 Oh sorrenbarret when will it all become better?

    • sorenbarrett

Thank you Teddy for the read and supportive words. Doubt it will get much better for it has always been such.

A different kind of read and one that echoes my concerns regarding the most incompetant and narcissistic incumbent in the western world. have a great fear that this kind of politics will infiltrate across many borders unless it can be called to account as a matter of urgency.

Thank you Michael for the read and understanding it is a cancer that has been a long time growing.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

Reading this alongside your note brought back how often power hides behind distance and delegation. The question of responsibility…whether denied through ignorance or dispersed downward…feels painfully familiar. You name that moral fork with clarity, my friend. Well done and a fave! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Power and absolute power and seemingly unstoppable now.
This rollercoaster is on the move and who knows when it will end.

It is already off the rails and people have been killed yet they refuse to shut the ride

                    I'm an orange man
                    I execute others' plans

when a clown enters a place, he doesn't become king, He turns the palace in a circus.

this was an excellent read, calling out the cruelty of ignorance and how humanity is lost once morals are discarded
