Proposal

Teddy.15

I have
a diamond eternity ring

but I've lost one of its diamonds

my husband asked me once

did I want to have the diamond replaced?

but I don't think I would

because every time I look down at it

on my now ageing hand
It reminds me that...

things don't have to be perfect
not even my marriage.

    Wow this was sad

Why on earth would it be sad? 🌹

        I guess I want perfection

We all have our own idea of perfect so I hope you find yours dear Demar. 🌹

What a wonderful metaphor my friend and so true in an imperfect world where imperfection is good enough and those that search for perfection will never be happy.

Thank you dearest sorrenbarret, you said it perfectly 🌹

Teddy, this carries a quiet, grounded truth… something worn, imperfect, and still full of meaning. The way you hold that without trying to fix it gives it real strength. It stays with you. Beautifully done, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
