The day has come,
The day when normality returns,
Normality returns to our lives.
No longer sitting together watching,
Watching the television,
Watching it most of the day.
For two weeks we have watched it,
Absorbed by it all day.
Such wonderful moments seen,
Seen during that time.
And then it came to an end,
It ended last night,
Ended in a fabulous finale.
So this morning I arose,
Arose back into normality,
Normality in our lives.
It had finished,
For two weeks we watched it
But last night was the final.
And what a time we had
Watching it to the end.
But normality is back
As the game ended,
The snooker championship was over,
The game that we became hooked on,
So normality was back.

The snooker twist made me laugh. You captured that weird empty feeling when a championship ends perfectly. Really relatable.
Good write Gold.
Snooker, Billiards, pool all capture my interest when played well just as a poem does when each word is pocketed. Well done Andy
Snooker on TV is part of a long stnding family memory. Not a feature of Aussi programming. Must see if Utube has anything to offer. Thanks,Andy.
