Today I lightened my life's load
and I did something so very courageous
for once I thought of myself
and now
I will return to who I was
and not to who I would have become
under a moon of hypocrisy
and who knows?
I might even get a few pleasant surprises
along the way?
well, when one takes a leap into the unknown
the unknown could quite possibly turn out
to be the best friend you ever had.

The unknown holds many surprises as well as expectations and this is a good write about looking at it from the positive side
My dear sorrenbarret I gave notice in my job today, I have been bullied for 3 years by one woman and instead of becoming venemous like her I decided to do something better, I am a lady after all. Thank you my dear friend, not much else can be ugly this year for me surely π hey I'm waiting for my spark! Onwards and upwards I say π
Wishing you the best in your future ventures my good friend
Hi Shirley, you have to put yourself first in these situations. Onwards and upwards. All the best in your new job, I hope everything works out OK. I think the woman who has been bullying you has gotten off lightly though. I'm sure she'll get her comeuppance eventually.

Hey Syd, I have no job after two weeks but at least I won't have all the stress either. πΉ Thank you dear friend.
Teddy, this feels deeply freeing and quietly triumphant. The poem carries that difficult but necessary moment where someone finally chooses themselves over the version of themselves others were shaping. Thereβs courage and relief woven together beautifully here, my friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
My dear Tristan, you my friend are my rock. Yes it's always hard to choose oneself I'm selfless but there comes a time when we say enough is enough. Thank you my dear friend. πΉ
Awww! You rock Teddy. The feeling is mutual for sure. And amen to that. For sure, there is a time enough becomes enough. Indeed. You are most welcome, my dear friend! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
