Pax Glugana

Tristan Robert Lange

Don’t forget Caesar Popeyeus
For that won’t be very pious;
Sure, it’s true he’s not smart—
He thinks the moon’s his part—
But he still will glugify us.

Excerpt from Journal of Digital Archaeology, Vol. 87 (2163 CE): Recent excavations of a defunct poetry platform uncovered repeated references to an individual known only as "Orchidee.” Evidence suggests he served as the court jester to Popeyeus, though some researchers argue he was, in fact, the emperor's chief theologian. One thing, however, is beyond dispute: he never owned gerbils nor hamsters...only pigs from Guinnea. Just ask him.

    A thin disguise easily seen through in this poem of satire and poked fun. Never the less I think the Popeye of my childhood was far more compassionate and I would have to say smart than this one. Even Brutus was more appealing.

      I cannot disagree, Soren! LOL! Even Brutus is looking rather statesmanlike by comparison. 🤣 Thank you, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

            Good wrote T. lol. Ol' Tom sneaked in too, and grew a 'tash. So you were there too, millions - well, thousands - of years ago! lol.

              Thanks, Orchi! I knew you’d recognize the official history of the Glugan Empire. 🤣 And of course I was there...I was Keeper of the Sacred Glug until Ol’ Tom arrived wearing that moustache and had me exiled for impersonating a historian. LOL! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

                And who was Ol' Tom impersonating wearing that dead caterpillar under his nose? lol.
