I flirt with women, girls;
Many who cross my path.
It’s fun, has a history.
*
(This a spoiler alert):
At fifty I was a dirty old man:
Now, halfway through my
Octogenarianship
I’m a harmless old coot
Paying a lovely lady a compliment…
*
It’s a flirt,
And once in a while…

It's the dots at the end that leave the reader waiting... well? I guess the imagination will have to do. A good one my friend
It will. Those dots are a habit of mine and signify that a topic is never exhausted, there is aways more could be said, more to be discovered.
Thanks for the call, Soren.
You sly dog you. It is always a pleasure my friend
The day I stop looking at a Lovely Woman: they'll be screwing the Lid down.
Nice one.
Thanks for that, Kevin. Pick your moment...
I can relate to this one. I’m 59 and occasionally feel frisky. My wife of 36 years likes cats now. 20 to 30 years from now we’ll be farting dust together!
Dust? Oh let it be, let it be...
Didn't really respond, did I? Sorry, no intention of an escape from the boundaries I placed around this one...
My comment was nonsense, sorry about that. I do enjoy the humor in this one. Well done.
Funny how it’s a lottery ticket how our flirting is received and repaid🙏🏻🕊️
That's the fun, now...
The old call, it's the journey, more than the destination. Mine are mostly journeys with added comforts in the form of a fantasy or two.
What else is life for! 🙏🏻🕊️
Flirt away Dave but at our age it does not always work. LOL.
Andy
As I thought I made clear Andy, my charm...
There’s a self-aware charm here, especially in the shift from “dirty old man” to “harmless old coot,” which gives the speaker a funny sense of aging without pretending the flirtation has disappeared. The unfinished “And once in a while…” is actually intriguing—it leaves the reader hanging just long enough to wonder what this old coot might still get up to. Brilliant.
And that's the way it is going to stay...
Thomas, you really managed to add something extra to this slight piece, gave it a value. Many thanks.
An Octogenarian has eight tentacles, that's touchy feely on an industrial scale.
Paying a compliment to a woman. Just check to see if that's an arrestable offence these days. Okay, seemingly it is if you don't ask for permission.
No compliments, you can't wolf whistle, and the guy on the train who was trying to upskirt the woman wearing trousers, get yourself to an optician quick pal.
When does the optician open?
The provision of so much valuable experienced advice a credit to you. It's acquisition via field studies, I presume?
Field studies are a must, and dark glasses provide perfect cover in all situations.
What a charming little confession, Dave. You turn aging, flirting, and self-awareness into something funny without taking yourself too seriously...and that makes it work. Great job, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks for the call, Tristan. I feel 'established' when I hear from you.
I like to present as many sides of me as I feel able, and on self assessment believe I do a halfway reasonable job here.
An enjoyable read Dave.
- Syd 🍄
That will do Syd - no prompts, no curiosity, take at face value. Does nicely.
I'm betting everything I've got that you've still got wot it takes .. give or take, .. perhaps .. Enjoyed to the hilt you old dog .. 😎👍
Ain't got nothing to report no more... Confidentiality the watchword...
*cough, cough* I discovered flirting way, way back and thought it was too fun. Nice to know you're "harmless" and a "coot" by now. Thank you for sharing.
Think I've got to close down a little...develop an 'air of mystery'. Does you think If I studed hard I could become a 'strong, silent type'?
Dunno
Open frank confessions of ignorance are always welcome. Noone knows everything... after all, very occasionally there are things I know absolutely nothing about............
Lovee it.
Thanks sweetheart... What about a quick flirt while noone is looking...???
