She was long and pale with red hair.
She was stupid beyond her years
and I optimistic beyond my experience.
She was beautiful,
With trauma I misinterpreted as depth.
She yielded beautifully and deeply though.
I liked that
She liked it too.
We had two kids.
Oh, how they clung to me in the long night of her leaving.
They inherited my depth
and her absence.
Best of both worlds.
