Another Year Goes By.

Goldfinch60

Well another year over,

Another year of living,

Living in this world.

I arrived seventy eight years ago,

Seventy eight years ago today.

In my life I have seen many things

And looking back bad things happened,

But they are all overcome by the good things,

The good and wonderful things,

Those wonderful things in my life.

I worked all my life,

All forty seven years and one month

And in that time never out of work.

I have enjoyed a fine marriage,

Married to Joyce.

We had wonderful times together,

She passed into heaven,

Passed seven years ago.

But my life became blessed,

Blessed after a few years

When it happened

And Mary came into my life.

Now together we live,

Live for our future together.

So here I am looking forward,

Looking forward to another year,

Another year in my long life.
