I woke again as your raucous sound
Brought forth a day in which I found
That winter skies though cold and bleak
Still held hope of which to speak
As from those trees the winds stripped bare
You rose as one with little care
For those below who longed to stay
Within their sleep, safe from the day
And as I looked up to the sky
Your wheeling image showed me why
Life, regardless of its form
Dispels the dark and makes me warm.
