Bright'ning each new day,
Making it worthwhile,
Cheering gloom away, ....
Where'd ya put your smile?
Saw it yesterday,
Playing on your mouth;
Made your face quite gay...
That smile on your mouth!
Never broke one face,
Lighten'd more than one, ...
The smile's lost its place
On't face of more'n one!
Wonder where they put
Cheery little smiles,
.....Sittin' in the soot
Whittlin' 'way their whiles?
Wish you'd find your smile,
Put it on your face....
Make my day worthwhile,
Cheer the human race
....That smile in its place!
E'en my writing's smiling now! !

Clever reworking. I can hear the American accent!
Thank you very much!....but where did my accent come in? at "where'd'ya"? I am guessing.
That the line and the last line of the second last stanza. But its not a bad thing mind!
"Whittlin" 'way their whiles?" It was my favourite line in the whole piece...what is so American about that? my ancestors didn't whittle?
