Reflections on a Frosty Window

Cheeky Missy

After the snow stopped falling
Chilly ev'ning came calling.
The chill of a winter's night
Left frosty morning delight!

On ev'ry frozen window
Frost left beauty in snow:
Intricate feath'ry designs
Captured for what the heart pines.

The beauty which did unfold
His wond'rous witness behold...
In each delicate detail
Such a magnificent tale.

How His manifold witness
Must make ev'ry heart confess
His omnipotent dealings
E'en in the smallest of things!

  • Comment from author about the poem: Who doesn't enjoy the beauty of a delicate scene painted by the imaginary Jack Frost? I believe in him as much as in Santa and the easter bunny.....ie. not in the least. But I LOVE a delicate scene on the winter pane!

Aw, sweet. Thank you very much....so the nineteen yr-old didn't do too badly again?! I thought it would not stand up to scrutiny...mine, anyway....maybe I don't need to edit it then. Thanks an awful lot for the generous vote, and for commenting!!
