It rained late on a Monday here,
And Tuesday it all changed to snow;
It started off all slushy and wet;
But hardened set with the cold...
The traffic was affected by it,
For ev'ryone drove quite so slow.....
The world in something like stillness lay----
Because of soft falling snow!

- Comment from author about the poem: Maybe someone wiser in this can tell me the name for this....ie. taking a common/well-known song and putting different words to it. I've heard some, like around voting day. Anyway, here is one for "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" See how well it works by singing it like I've done. Try it someone, for me. I sure had fun w/it. Well, whatcha think?

I really like the last two lines. They end it very well.
Thanks.....the first line and that next to the last line seem to me most reminiscent of the original song....aren't they?
