I only want you, change my dark weather

Be the holy glue that holds me together

My soul is stained sweep away my sorrow

Let there be a better and bright tomorrow

I don’t want to be livid and alone

I hear your word but I see it shown

Let me be your faithful son

But mainly let your will be done

 

Lord I feel that I must confess to you

Sometimes I get a little but depressed and blue

I can’t keep denying and stress what’s true

So now I need you to tell me what’s best to do

 

Please can you start by cleansing my soul of sin

Enter my heart and please help me begin

I’m falling apart help hold up my heavy chin

Help me be smart so I can be strong within

 

I write these rhymes in dedication to your name

Nickels and dimes, money just isn’t the same

They can lead to crimes,shroud us in shadows of shame

But in all dark times we could use a guiding flame

 

Why do I fight to make wrong right every day?

Lord be the light and show me the righteous way

Show me what’s right, I’ll do as you say
