Remember Me
Where'er you roam
In this world and all your life...
And let me be
A memory
That grows sweeter all the time....
And I will too,
Remember you
With the sweet perfume of love:
Where'er I go,
Whate'er I be,
I'll remember you with love........! ! !
....Remember Me.

- Comment from author about the poem: It was New Year's Eve, I was trying to sing Auld Lang Syne, and remembering unexpected departures previous new years had brought and the words I wished I could say to those I'll probably never see again but will ever remember with sweetness. (I sing it to the tune from an Alan Jackson song, that sings "remember when...")

It is universal love. Those who read your poems love you and you love them or it may be the love between you and your husband.

Aw, thank you very much! And of course I hope if I ever do have the privilege of being a wife we are never often apart, and too much in love to ever forget one another anyway, to need such a plea as this poem.....am I an incurable dreamer?!
