(sonnet # XVII)
XVII
It hurts so badly, sickening me now,
Just gasping for breath while crumbling inside;
Now blinking back tears and wanting to die,
Yet screaming so silently, wond'ring how
Much more you can endure, so oft beat down?
Astounded, realize now it was just lies....
You had an inkling it was but denied,
Quite blythely dreaming, crashing then profound.
Yet time shall heal your broken wings again,
And soften the shattered pieces of dreams,
The dove shall sing love songs and sweetly coo;
More soberly, perchance to truth attend;
Nor bitter either, tenderhearted be;
And mercy, wisdom, charity ensue.

There is more than just a few lines of angst within this poem, Cheeky. Sometimes we find ourselves lost and even as we understand why that isn't enough to dig ourselves out of our sadness.
It seems, from your comment about it that you have been down this road before. Life has many roads and we stumble along looking for that well-lit path and sometimes it just takes time.
Thanks so much for your kind and understanding lines....ya, chasing dreams oft brings me to face cruel reality.....I should just seek the Lord....but.....

i like ur writting.. its soo precise...srry cant spell even if my life can depend on it...lol...everyone gets hurt now and again we just have to pick our selfs up and move on..but some poeple have troubles doing that like me but it just takes awhile to get goin again...love ur writen keep it up....
