Lockdown

nair36

We don’t care if you fret

We don’t care if you frown

We’ll make your first day hell

Until the sun goes down

Anybody can fight

And anybody can cuss

You gotta prove that you

Can be exactly like us

Most have their own hood

Just don’t disrespect

Cause in the time that you do

Fists will have to connect

No one really gets along

And neither will you

So you better watch your back

And watch what you do

Take a tough teen

Show him a tougher time

Take him out of his head

And take him into the prime

Let him know by your hand

That he is not the shit

He has no power over you

So man up and don’t quit

Lockdown can make a bitch

But you don’t have to be

Just do the time you were given

And they’ll set you free

But it’s a two faced place

So be on your guard

We’re just giving you advice

So it doesn’t have to be hard

Take our advice for now

But it’ll be hard to choose

In this place you can win

But you can easily lose

Don’t ever be like us

You’re better off as a man

Not many can make it

But we hope that you can

  • Comment from author about the poem: Lockdowns not as bad as it sounds. It could be worse but just do you. You don't have to listen to what the other people there say or act on what they do. And being in lockdown is exactly the same as being free. You either follow what other people do and get locked up or you can do you and make life what you want it to be.
