False Conceptions

StormyDay

Do you remember when we were young
We thought we knew everything and everyone
I knew who I was and where I was going
What I wanted and what I was doing

It took me too long to realize
To shut up and open my eyes
And see the actuality
Instead of living the fantasy

Everything I knew so well
Overnight broke down and fell
It was all turned upside down by you
And you made me see anew

I thought I wanted a bad boy
Around me, you were too coy
What I wanted, guess I never had a clue
But it sure as hell wasn't you

Maybe you weren't what I expected
But you are what I needed
And I don't really know how
I've fallen for you now

Aw, sweet! I quite enjoyed this! You drew it all so delightfully, building up from the beginning familiar childish/youthful haughtiness to the concluding beautiful rather humble cry of love...it is so sweet...and so perfectly depicted true to life....Excellent! I love it!

I completely agree. My boyfriend is like that, even if he is an ***hole to some people.
