Black and White

Emi

Soft pencil strokes

Lull my mind to sleep

As I draw my thoughts from my head

To the paper in front of me

Eyes staring blankly

Not processing

Just sketching whatever

Not caring what

Perhaps a tear streaked face

Or a sunset swallowing the world

A dark sky dotted with light

Or maybe just nothing

Just black and white

No color at all

It would remind me too much

Remind me too much of you

Perfect. You captured the sorrow and loss in those simple words...a world lacking colour without your beloved...and described your sorrow in the action of drawing without purpose scenes reminiscent of your situation. Excellent.
