Semesters are the inferno which set us off,
Waiting for them to extinguish before they spark off,
But hour hand seems to move in a slow motion,
Leaving us in the ring fire of tension!
When nightmares become a regular episode,
And even fun do'nt act as an antidote.
An age when the mates enter into stakes,
And length of the syllabus look wildest snakes!
A time when hangouts with friends become a rarity,
And we reluctantly accept studies as a priority.
When the silence in the homes become a feature to stay,
And phantoms of subjects haunt us every way.

This poem captures the essence of those times extremely well, while amusing us at the same time. Very well done. I quite enjoyed reading it.

Ugh....very well expressed...you remind me again of it. And the image is so perfect. Excellent.
