"A Fortnight of Valentines"---my latest (crazy)whimsy....a collection of sappy sonnet (attempts), fraught with redundancy, and so hastily executed and crafted by imaginative fancy as to hopefully not be too repulsive to the reader. And yes, fairly UNedited, presently.
Day 10
(sonnet attempt # XXIX)
XXIX
Just take my hand in yours, thus claspt I'll be
So blythely following along where'er....
The world I'll gaily traipse with ne'er a care,
For in your grasp, with you, love, I'm carefree!
There's no such thing as "lost" with you to lead.
Relaxed I'll laugh lightheartedly and dare
Th'unknown since I'm with you, so safe whate'er,
And happy too with you to be indeed.
I don't know how 'tis so, but it's a fact:
With you in charge somehow 'twill all be fine.
You get concerned and we pull out the maps,
To find ourselves on strange roads and odd lines;
But I'm not worried since with you I'm trapped!
And that makes all the diff'rence, Valentine!

- Comment from author about the poem: It was about midnight....and we were lost! I laughed gaily and we pulled out the maps at his insistence to find our way back to familiar territory...frankly I wasn't worried though he was, since I was lost....with him...well, what's to worry? Seriously.
