The End

Emi

I reached for your hand

Looking so inviting; so loving

I thought you’d understand

But you moved away from me

I felt around blindly

Trying and trying to find you

But you acted quite unkindly

And avoided my grasp

I stayed as silent as I could

Hoping I might have heard you

But it was quite an unlikelihood

And I heard not a breath

I cried and I sobbed

I hoped you would notice then

But my head terribly throbbed

When the door slammed behind you

I watched out the sullied window

Your truck disappearing

Never again to show

That was the end

Excellently sad! Very beautiful progression from bad to worst...in the yearning and contrary coldness.
