What Keeps Me Here?

phylock

Falling over myself.
Splintered over and over again
By shards of a broken heart.
My love is depleted.
But Motionless I stay.
What keeps me here?
Hatred of you is so strong...
What keeps me here??
No trust...
What keeps me here???
No love and commitment.......
What keeps me here????!
Hope?...
Maybe I still care.....
And if teeth weren't so brittle
I would still bite a bullet
But for now I bite my tongue.

Wow. Something like persistent "love" keeps you there, and displays itself, making you bite your tongue(check the spelling on yours). I like how you expressed the frustrating dilemma, concluding it so sweetly/bittersweetly. Beautiful.
