(sonnet # CCXX)
It only had one working headlight so
Had earned the name of Cyclops, that one-eyed
Fabled dreadful monster; though in truth beside
That creature it was tame. It seemed to know
A thing or two as well, for it would stow
All sorts of garbage tucked away inside;
So that its master'd drag a can 'longside
To empty it at times of overflow.
...That he might drive. Was it the name that made
The black car thus behave so oddly? Or
What was it caused the car to masquerade
As if 'twas some old dumpster? That the poor
Young fellow was thus on occasion plagued?
Its ego was too big to just ignore?

- Comment from author about the poem: I daresay this is still rough. Indeed, for I have been dying to write this one for months, the case having caused me much amusement. It would not be so humorous excepting that he did tell me on one such occasion, pointing into its messy depth, "my car collects trash." I was sorry it was so stubbornly minded to give him such work. But what can you do? Hahaha.
