I am lost, I look to be worthy, loved, and accepted.
Instead I am spit on, slapped, and rejected.
I am only human, do not expect perfection.
All I want is some kind of love or affection.
The past is what it is, the past.
Do not be quick to judge, life is just too fast.
Hear me out, not throw me out.
You only want me when you need something.
I jump to it because I believe, you believe I am trying.
Instead, you are only using me,
I know now, I am an individual, I only have me.
Some say, you need people to make it.
That's not true, it's bullshit.
Believe me, I have been on my own my whole life.
You do not need a mom, dad, or wife.
The people you surround yourself with should be assets.
Not assholes.
They need to be worthy of your time.
Disowning liabilities is not a crime.
It will take away the pain.
You will no longer feel like you are going to go insane.
You are your own person, keep it that way!

You have to learn to accept you don't need people, attention, or to be accepted. You need to accept yourself, and you can make it on your own. I have been in places where I needed someone else to bring me up. Now I am at the point where I look at the hell I have been through, and how I made it through that. Once you accept yourself, you will feel like a better person. All you need is yourself

WELCOME CHASE - Thanks for your very honest first poem. I trust you found it very cathartic as you find yourself "Alone again naturally". I'm 33 and single so I too can cope with loneliness and my Individuality. BUT because I am human I often need someone special to share things with ! Sometimes someone special ~ also needs me ! The aloneness and singularity can be welcome ~ as you say ~ BUT ~ being lost ~ demeaned and rejected is horrible ! BUT ~ in the end most PEOPLE do need PEOPLE (Family ~ Friends ~ Lovers etc) to make them feel happy and complete ! Thanks for caring and sharing ! BRIAN

You have nothing to prove to anyone.
It doesn't matter what you are called nor what your reputation is. Who you are is determined by your own self-worth. I hope in time you before more aware of the world and realize there's no escaping this. You must take it on. I'll be a hand up if you need it but you have to want help. Beautiful piece.
