Doll in Wonderland

I find myself

Having to take pause

In including you in the conversation

My tongue

So easily wraps itself around your name

So at ease with the "we" and "us"

That never really had a chance to happen

So find myself swallowing,

Occasionally choking

On the alphabet of your name

Bypassing stomach

Trying to digest in heart

Because I'm the girl

Who laughs

When all you wanted was one who

Merely smiles

In wanting you

And feeding you these precious morsels

I didn't see

That you pushed the plate away

Because you stopped being hungry a while ago

WELCOME D I W ~ Thanks for a very elegant first poem with just a hint of sadness. I like positive ~ outgoing Girls who laugh inthe enjoyment of sharing favours. To me my current Lady friend is delicious and yes she does laugh because Men are "funny" ! However I enjoy "every precious morsel" and so does she. We are both still hungry and both "relish the plate". However what you describe happens and ~ alas ~ it is always the beginning of the end. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ BRIAN
