Many lurk in the shadows of your heart.
Amongst the hills and valleys there are hollows and stars.
A watchman waits in obscurity.
Those who enter may not arrive.
For some it's a leap of faith,
For others selfish desire.

Your poem is beautiful, Augustus. Makes me think of the movie "What Dreams May Come," with Robin Williams.
I did not have that film in mind but I believe it fits. Decisions here on earth have consequences depending on your faith. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
This is true. I think of this always in how I live my life. And, your poem should be framed and put on everyone's wall. You are very welcome! Happy New Year!
Wow! Thanks.
🙂
Powerful and well written, great write
Thank you Tony.
Welcome
Beautiful poem, Augustus. Very powerful words. Well written.
I am surprised by the reception. This was different for me. I am more into rhyme and meter.
Such a good poem
Well done sir...
This is a poem of a true poet!
a beautiful expression gracefully expressed. Bravo!!! ww
ww thanks, that means a lot. A different style I had not experimented with.
Thanks for caring "A" ~ and sharing your thoughts on endings ! In life there are many "ends" exemplified in your elegant poem ! But when the Big Reaper get us ~ we have to be ready for THE END ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN Love the visual "At the end of a perfect day !"
You are right on dear friend. Hugs.
I'm not so much a meter or rhyme person - I love words that play together flow and this does both - great write.
Thanks Michael. That is encouraging.
