I do like this - must have a go at haiku - thanks for posting them.

Thanks MICHEAL ~ HAIKU are comparatively easy because it's all about the RHYTHM (5 - 7 - 5) and not the rhyme ! Please add a MONTH (in HAIKU) to my FUSION ~ Thanks BRIAN

Thanks MICHEAL for a great personal contribution for APRIL ~ great Month to be born as long as it's not the FIRST. By the way yours is what we call a HAIKU-PLUS 5~7~7 There is also a TANKA which allows a footnote explanation of the HAIKU which is 5-7-5-7-7 ~ OK Thanks BRIAN

Now it's getting complicated - will try a simple poem using 5-7-5 - will post it as soon as I get time to write it.

Very nice Haikus! I didn't know they couldn't rhyme, I had just finished some. Always educational to review your poems! Hugs--christina

WELL CHRIS ~ If you look at classical HAIKU they never rhyme also they must be about nature & seasons. If they are not they are called SENRYU. The extended form is a TANKA (5-7-5-7-7). The last two lines are to explain the meaning of the HAIKU or SENRYU ! There is a lot of snobbery concerning HAIKU but I am tolerant (as you know) and If an MPS Member posts a poem and calls it a HAIKU it is a HAIKU ! Pleased you liked it Hugs for you too BRIAN
